Biodiesel License
What is a Biodiesel License?
A Biodiesel Manufacturing License is a legal approval issued by regulatory authorities like PESO, Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), and Factory Inspectorate that allows an individual or company to:
Manufacture biodiesel from raw materials like used cooking oil, animal fats, or vegetable oils
Store and transport biodiesel in bulk using tanks, barrels, or road tankers
Blend biodiesel with regular diesel for retail or commercial supply
Sell B100 (pure biodiesel) through retail outlets or to industries
Since manufacturing of biodiesel is handling of flammable liquid, it falls under Petroleum Class “A” and requires strict compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards, including BIS certification (IS 15607).
